Ir. Mochamad Ashari, MEng, PhD, at Surabaya, Monday, said the renewable energy program is the utilization of solar and wind energy are modified by such converters into electrical energy that can be sold to the local PLN. “So the public will not be the cost to buy electricity, but just to get additional revenue by selling energy obtained in each individual house,” he said.

He added, the converter is installed in each house to accommodate residents energies obtained from the wind and sun. Of course, for the installation location is the best converter in the coastal areas due to high wind intensity and towns to find the sun very much. Meanwhile, for the realization of the first will be carried out by a prototype development laboratory used in ITS Electrical Engineering. “We’re still trying a way to build a prototype tool, but with a voltage below 1000 watts.

The abundance of natural resources in Indonesia turned out to make the government complacent, so that the process for the development of alternative energy is not hindered even walk well because of support from the government itself is less.

The lack of support and the complexity of the bureaucracy to make efforts and development of alternative energy as a dead faint. And when we look at the history, natural resources are now in exploitation by many investors both nationally and internationally is a natural resource that can not be updated any time means the resource will be exhausted. In addition environmental damage resulting from the exploitation of the impact is extraordinary. One of them is leaking oil in the well lapindo. Which it causes displacement of a huge population. Actually alternative energy is potential to be developed in Indonesia, due to natural conditions and geographical strongly supports renewable energy is achieved. One of these is the biofuel energy. To produce these biofuels require a very long process, from planting, harvesting until the process at the factory and the cost is very large. This requires the support of good government for working capital, facilities and infrastructure that permits adequate.

It is time for us to change this environment better by using energy more environmentally friendly and renewable. So later than the environment becomes better, there are still natural resources that can be passed on the next generation.
